Typical duties included: Hard bid and competitively negotiated budgeting, value management formulation and presentation, quantity survey, value analysis, structure and other building components comparisons, conceptual, schematic, design development and FGMP level pricing. Due to the economic climate in Las Vegas, hard bidding opportunities became the routine. During my short tenure (less than 6 months) we bid nine projects and were successful on three.
